Hwb Ogwen

What is Hwb Ogwen?

Hwb Ogwen is so much more than just a food bank and offers advice and support for the residents of Dyffryn Ogwen during the cost of living crisis.

The Hwb is now open five days a week from Monday to Friday and there's always a warm welcome for anyone to pop by for a chat.

Here's what we can help you with at the Hwb:

  • Food pack - up to 6 items available weekly to anyone in emergency or we can refer individuals to a local food bank
  • Energy vouchers (following passing criteria)
  • Energy saving advice
  • Advice on benefits
  • Advice on household bills – water, gas, electricity, phone
  • Help with filling in forms e.g. bus ticket, application for a blue badge
  • Drop-in sessions from Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), Warm Wales, Carers Outreach Wales
  • Refer you to a specific association depending on your enquiry/issue

As we start applying for new funding to continue Hwb Ogwen's services in 2026, we need to present impact statistics to funders to show there is a need for our services within Dyffryn Ogwen.

The surveys will remain completely anonymous, and the answers will only be used to as supporting evidence for funding applications. Complete the survey here.
