Dyffryn Caredig is one of the Ogwen Partnership projects which focuses on community transport.
This project follows the success of Dyffryn Gwyrdd, which was a 3-year project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
Our intention with this project is to provide a fleet of vehicles and electric bikes for the use of Dyffryn Ogwen communities - Beics Ogwen and Bws Ogwen.
We work closely with individuals, schools, associations and organisations in the Dyffryn in order to provide green door-to-door transport for the residents of the area.
Our latest project is the establishment of the new electric minibus with the support of Ynni Ogwen.
Working closely with our Community Friend and Hwb Ogwen, we organise transport for a variety of purposes - hospital / doctor visits and appointments, meetings, social outings and leisure events.
As well as the fleet of vehicles, we have a fleet of electric bikes, accesible bikes and normal bikes. These are available to hire from Beics Ogwen and we also provide a bike repair service.
We also organise accessible bike sessions in partnership with Disability Sports Wales, Cwmni Byw'n Iach and Bethesda Rugby Club.
This project while achieving the above reduces the carbon footprint of the Partnership and the residents of Dyffryn Ogwen.
